Paver Driveways & Patios in Jacksonville
Belgard, Tremron and travertine driveways, patios and walks on a compacted base — with the drainage built into the design, not added later.
A paver driveway or patio is a drainage project with a nice surface on top: the base, the slope and the edges decide whether water leaves or sits. We build on a compacted base with edge restraint, slope away from the house, and set a channel drain across the apron where the driveway needs one.
Signs you need it
- cracked or heaving concrete driveway
- sunken pavers that hold water
- patio or pool deck extension
- new driveway with a channel drain at the apron

Paver Driveways & Patios FAQ
How much does a driveway with pavers cost?
In our area pavers run $12 to $25 per square foot installed; a 600 to 1,000 sq ft driveway is about $8,000 to $20,000, and a patio $4,000 to $10,000. The written price comes after a free inspection.
Why are my pavers sinking?
Usually the base: it was not compacted, sand washed out of the joints, or water stands on that section after every storm. Oak roots push sections up instead. We lift the pavers, fix the base and relay them — and fix the water that caused it.
Do you need a permit for patio pavers?
The permit we deal with most is for work in the city right-of-way, such as the driveway apron at the street. We tell you on the inspection whether anything on your job needs one.
Which pavers do you use?
Belgard, Tremron and travertine — chosen for the house and what is already on the lot.
Do I need a permit?
Work in the city right-of-way, such as the apron at the street, needs a permit; we handle it when it applies.
